Marnus Labuschagne Dropped from Australia's One-Day International Lineup Versus Team India
Marnus Labuschagne has been dropped from the three-game ODI series versus India, with in-form Queensland teammate Matt Renshaw receiving a shock selection.
Recent Form Result in Omission
The right-hander was left out from the one-day international squad after being dismissed for one in each of his two innings during the top-end series against South Africa in August. He has a highest score of forty-seven in his last 10 ODI innings.
Labuschagne has featured in 68 ODIs and amassed 1,871 runs at an average of 34.64 runs per dismissal, but will now continue to press his claims a return to the Test side in time for the Ashes starting in Perth on November 21.
Renshaw's Return and Other Squad Changes
Labuschagne has shown signs of a improvement in form with 160 for Queensland in the domestic first-class competition this week, while Renshaw made a hundred for the Bulls in the same game against Tasmania.
The left-hander may to make his first white-ball appearance in the upcoming series against India after last being included in an ODI squad in 2022.
